As part of the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Policy, an evaluation team composed of partners involved in ADR implementation, including the Ministry of Justice (MINIJUST), JRLOS, and non-governmental organizations, visited the Association Modeste et Innocent (AMI), a member organization of JRLOS.
During the visit, AMI presented its achievements in promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution and shared the approaches it uses to mediate disputes and facilitate peaceful conflict resolution among community members.
The evaluation team highly appreciated AMI’s contribution to advancing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and improving access to justice at the community level. The team also commended the organization’s efforts in fostering dialogue and reconciliation among parties involved in conflicts.
Furthermore, the team reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining constructive and collaborative engagement with AMI in promoting and strengthening the implementation of the ADR Policy across Rwanda.
The visit provided an opportunity for experience-sharing and discussions on ways to further enhance initiatives aimed at promoting justice, social cohesion, and peaceful conflict resolution.
